This group is for the beginner right through to the experienced.
Everyone 18+ is welcome.

You will need to bring all of your own supplies.
If you are unsure what you will need you are welcome to pop in and see what everyone else is doing and gain a better idea of what you will need for your own project and return the next week ready to start creating!

Please feel free to bring along your own lunch/snacks and non alcoholic drinks.

We look forward to creating some unique fluid art and sharing different techniques along the way.

(Aprox Time of walk 1hour)

This Befriend Group & Swan Well Being Collective meets Tuesday mornings at 9am.
We start the walk I nfronf of “Pias place” play a space near gurilla hub cafe and the whiteman park dog park.

After a welcomed Hello the group can then choose which way we feel like walking in the moment.

There is no set pathway for this walk allowing for an organic enjoyable session.

There are toilets and water fountains in that area and throughout the park.

At the end of the walk it is optional if you wish to enjoy a cuppa or a treat from the local cafe while you enjoy the environment and the company.

Sociable dogs are welcome on a lead, per Whiteman Park policy.

These events will generally run within the school Term.

This one on one sharing of their gifts will see you joining the long list of people who they have introduced to the world of Crochet over the years that have continued on and won recognition, praise and awards for their work.

We all know Crochet never goes out of fashion and it's amazing how popular and what practical, whimsical and versatile items can be produced as a result of this relaxing and once you know the basics easy craft/hobby.

For this week I will be popping over to Osborne Park Library to get some stuff done and wanted to invite you all (and anyone else) to join me. For a minimum of 1hr (unless in an unexpected situation which I will notify you about), I will be there from Tues-Friday at 3PM then on Saturday I will be there at 10am.

You are welcome to come earlier and it will be inside so please note the intention is to do this quietly. If you need a break or need to chat for whatever reason, you are welcome to step outside or do your session outdoors (if you can stand the heat).

We're a couple of local writers keen to share the beautiful space at Perth City Farm with some other wordsmiths! Join us for some quiet writing time, some prompts, some chats and maybe a sneaky coffee and wander through the farm.

Suitable for writers of all kinds, at any stage of their writing journey. Bring your writing materials and your creative vibes.

Perth City Farm is a working not-for-profit permaculture farm. If you can, please make a donation of your choice at the start of the session to support the Farm's work. There's a cafe on site for you to buy a coffee or snack from or BYO. If you'd like to wander through the garden bring a hat and wear sunscreen. We often run the group outside in the shade - for COVID safety and because it's lovely :)

Some of our members like to continue talking about their creative work, and exchange feedback, over lunch afterwards and you're very welcome to join them.

Be aware the parking around City Farm is limited, it would be worth considering public transport.

Come and join us for the healthiest “sundowner” going!

Each week we walk/roll/stroll for 60 minutes. Keep an eye on the start time as it changes every few weeks according to the time the sun sets!

We use the sealed path returning as the sun sets. There are plenty of benches with beautiful views to make use of if you prefer not to walk the whole distance – we will collect you on our way back. Stay on to watch the changing colors of the sunset and for a chat. You can even just come for the catch-up at the end!

We recommend comfortable shoes for walking, a hat, sunscreen and to bring water. Dogs on lead welcome. Look for the yellow Befriend flag.

This event usually attracts around 10 people so don't think you are the only one coming. (Advertised elsewhere)

Gentle Somatic Yoga will meet every Saturday morning EXCEPT for the first Saturday of each month when Coffee Morning Plus meets. Coffee Morning Plus (with Lindsay as a host) is a casual meet and greet. Hope to see you here and then at Gentle Somatic Yoga every Saturday thereafter.

Gentle Somatic Yoga® incorporates slow, mindful movements that unwind long held, stress-based patterns and/or injuries. Therapeutic and corrective exercises called Somatic Movement Flows® erase chronic muscle pain and significantly increase flexibility though self-correction. In Gentle Somatic Yoga® we do not intend to stretch muscles in order to achieve results. Instead, we go to the root cause of all muscular pain, which is found in the brain, and reprogram habitual patterns of stress held deep within the body (Soma). Most of the Somatic Movement Flows® are performed on the floor with a yoga mat and a blanket or beach towel which is used as support for your head and as a covering if you feel chilled.

We're a friendly group of knitters and crocheters who support and inspire each other in the lovely gardens of Perth City Farm. Our group meets on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. Come along and enjoy working on your knitting or crochet projects with others. It’s ok if you’re a beginner, bring your equipment and let’s practice together!

We will most likely meet under the shade of the big tree on the farm, follow the path to your left as you walk in the front gate or ask at the Perth City Farm market stall if you're not sure. If it's raining we'll shift to the cafe.

The Markets will be in full swing during our session, so make sure you bring a bag and set some time aside to purchase some local produce.

If the weather is forecast to be very hot we may shift the time to earlier in the morning, so RSVP to ensure you get any messages.

For the last event of the year we will meet at Whitford Nodes carpark.
There are 3 caches along the main road , one ghost and then 2 in the hills (you will get nice views)

After that there is the options to grab a coffee or gelato at Hillarys and if you feel like it chase the bonus and earth cache at the boat harbour. (This extra bit will push it beyond the 2 hours as an optional extension - if they have their pistacio gelato I'm up for it, or one of the places used to have a nice lemon meringue pie...)

We will meet in the main car park. Look for the Befriend flag.

At Cache with Company we enjoy the experience of hunting for caches while connecting with other people (and the extra eyes sometimes come in really handy too). The events are always suitable for beginners to find out what caching is all about and are at a leisurely pace.

It's the Annual Befriendly Festive Season catch-up! Come join the Belmont team by the beautiful Derbarl Yerrigan (Swan River) to celebrate the end of the year.

Whether you have been connected to Befriend for a long while, short while or are looking for some great conversation with new people this time of year, you are welcome.

🏸 This is an informal catch up with some optional outdoor games, conversation starters and prizes along the way. Come for a little or a long while.

This is an opportunity for all who've been involved with Befriend in the northern suburbs, however much or little, to get together and celebrate our connections. So whether you are a host, a co-host, a regular participant, an occasional participant at any of the Befriend Social Network groups, or even if this is your very first time you're welcome!

If you are able, bring a small plate of your favourite food to share for afternoon tea. There is a kettle available to make hot drinks (I'll provide tea, coffee and milk) or bring along a cold drink (alcohol free venue).

I'll organise some fun games (optional to join in of course) and there will be a chance to chat with one another and hear stories of connection.

The venue is air-conditioned, has an accessible toilet, and plenty of parking.
