Perth City Farm is a working not-for-profit permaculture farm. If you can, please make a donation of your choice at the start of the session to support the Farm's work. There's a cafe on site for you to buy a coffee or snack from or BYO. If you'd like to wander through the garden bring a hat and wear sunscreen. We often run the group outside in the shade - for COVID safety and because it's lovely :)

Enjoy the meandering peaceful bushland and flat paths that are in Henley Reserve park and bushland with friendly locals!

Mostly shady and cool, there are two paths to choose: stay on the paved path near the basketball court and playground, ideal for people with walkers, prams, crutches and wheelchairs. Or, extend your walk with a venture into the bushland trail and enjoy the serenity of tree-lined paths. The bush trail is better suited to those who don't rely on wheels to move as in some places it is soft with sand, but mostly it is solid.

The full walk will take less than an hour to do.

Bring your hat, wear sunscreen and carry water.
The best parking is on Ringwood Loop. Meet at the basketball court for a quick meet and greet before moving on to the paved walk, followed by the bush walk for those eager to take on a little more of the walk.

Come and join us for the healthiest “sundowner” going!

Each week we walk/roll/stroll for 60 minutes. Keep an eye on the start time as it changes every few weeks according to the time the sun sets!

We use the sealed path returning as the sun sets. There are plenty of benches with beautiful views to make use of if you prefer not to walk the whole distance – we will collect you on our way back. Stay on to watch the changing colors of the sunset and for a chat. You can even just come for the catch-up at the end!

We recommend comfortable shoes for walking, a hat, sunscreen and to bring water. Dogs on lead welcome. Look for the yellow Befriend flag.

***Discovering What﻿ You Want to Give***

A 2-hour workshop exploring the wellbeing benefits of giving good things to others “generously” and mapping what it is you would most like to contribute to your community.

**Overview**
History and science demonstrate the psychological and physical wellbeing effects of "giving good things to others freely and abundantly." And, because you're awesome, we believe you can transform the world around you through sharing your time and gifts. We also know all the best community connections, projects, groups, and initiatives started off as an idea that was cultivated and watered over time before they took root. In this session we'll explore generosity and how giving generously of our gifts and time has benefits for personal and collective wellbeing. After exploring generosity we’ll get creative with the playful art of vision boarding to spark and capture your ideas for how you would like to contribute generously to your community.

**Workshop Objectives**
In this short and light-hearted introduction to Befriending Others, we will explore:

* The art and science of generosity
* Creative exercises to uncover what it is you would most like to give
* What it is you would most like to give
* Where it is you would most like to contribute

**Who is Workshop For?**
This is perfect for anyone:

* Wanting to understand the wellbeing effects of generosity
* Dive into an exploration of what it is they’d most like to contribute to their communities
* Explore their unique ideas with other community members
* Form connections within their local community

**What to expect**

* Some structured conversation prompts
* A little bit of theory around the wellbeing benefits of generosity
* Reflective activities
* Time for mind mapping or vision boarding (the choice is yours)

**Befriending Workshop Series**

As a way to grow strong connections with people from your local community, this workshop forms part of a series that expands out across 5 months. The series includes 9 seperate workshops held fortnightly. In the week between each workshop you're invited to come back and join those you've met at A Place To Connect, a less formal connection opportunity. You can choose to come to as many of the workshops as you wish.

Each Workshop and A Place to Connect will be advertised on MeetUp and through the City of Armadale's website on their events page.

We're a friendly group of knitters and crocheters who support and inspire each other in the lovely gardens of Perth City Farm. Our group meets on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. Come along and enjoy working on your knitting or crochet projects with others. It’s ok if you’re a beginner, bring your equipment and let’s practice together!

We will most likely meet under the shade of the big tree on the farm, follow the path to your left as you walk in the front gate or ask at the Perth City Farm market stall if you're not sure. If it's raining we'll shift to the cafe.

The Markets will be in full swing during our session, so make sure you bring a bag and set some time aside to purchase some local produce.

If the weather is forecast to be very hot we may shift the time to earlier in the morning, so RSVP to ensure you get any messages.

This cafe is designed as a bookstore it offers light meals coffee and juices. There is parking on side streets. This cafe is wheelchair accessible has bathrooms and everything that you need.

FINAL YANCHEP BEACHSIDE SUNSET WALK 

WETLANDS TRAIL WALK 🌾🦆

Come along and join other nature lovers for a relaxed meander around the most attractive and popular trail in Yanchep National Park, the Wetlands Trail.

We'll meet on the front steps of Yanchep Inn from 9.45am. Look for the yellow Befriend flag. We will set off promptly at 10am. Participants need to be able to move for an hour at a casual pace.

The Wetlands Trail circumnavigates Lake McNess. We'll pass through the tall reed foliage known as Bulrush Yanget - the namesake of Yanchep. Other sites include the historical dredge and its rail system, water themed sculptures, snake gully, valuable and aged trees and sweeping lawns with wetland and dry bush views. Kangaroos, cockies and water fowl frequent the area.

Following this, for those who can stay on, we'll head back to Yanchep Inn for coffee and cake or an early lunch.

This is a Grade 1 trail - easily navigated, and pram and wheelchair accessible.

There is a fee to enter the Park. I recommend purchasing a yearly Yanchep National Park Pass as there will be fortnightly hiking events scheduled which you might like to attend. Passes can be purchased on-line or at the Park entrance.

Look for the yellow Befriend flag.
